Apple Intelligence writing tools not working on WhatsApp

Maybe I can write a shortcut to automate pasting comments into WhatsApp after using writing tools…

Are apple intelligence writing tools not working on WhatsApp? And, other meta platforms?

It’s up to the developers at Meta to add support for Writing Tools and other Apple Intelligence features in their apps. If you want to see Writing Tools on those apps, you’ll need to contact them directly. Apple can’t do anything about that.

Like I can see writing tools in messages, notes but not on WhatsApp

Messages and Notes are both apps made by Apple, so they integrated Writing Tools. Until Meta puts adds support for Writing Tools, you won’t be able to use them directly from the app.

In the mean time, if a message is important or just isn’t coming out right, that you copy the message and paste it in Notes and use Writing Tools to rewrite it there.

I don't use WhatsApp but Facebook uses Meta's own AI so I'm not sure they're going to be terribly interested in using Apple's. Especially given the difficulties Meta has had with all of its iOS and iPadOS apps lately.

Initially, Apple writing tools were accessible across all Meta platforms. However, a recent update removed these tools from all Meta platforms. This decision was likely influenced by the long-standing rivalry between Meta and Apple.

In my opinion, for the betterment of user experience, Apple and Meta should collaborate to enhance the user experience.
