After the latest update, the split-clip shortcut Command-B is no longer doing what it used to do. Very annoying.
To split a clip the shortcut has changed to shift-cmnd-s.
Does anyone know if you can modify the shortcuts in iMovie?

I'm not aware of any way of modifying a shortcut in iMovie. Perhaps others may chime in with an answer.
However, the easiest way to split a clip is to control click on the clip and select Split Clip from the pop up menu. I realize that you may prefer to use a keyboard command instead.

Thanks for your answer. I just love using shortcuts in iMovie, so it is quite frustrating that this is changed because it is so programmed in my brain that it is difficult to change!
For sure, Command-B is much simpler than the new command for Split Clip. I don't know why Apple changed it.
