How to request a refund for accidental app subscription from the App Store?

I just downloaded that app and I didn't know that it would deduct money from my account and suddenly a lot of money was deducted from my rent payment account and this is not fair and just at all. If I had made my bank card information available to the site, it should not have been deducted from the money I had set aside for my rent.

All Apple see is a card that can be charged. It does not know about your personal budgeting.

Items in the store have a price on the download button unless it is free and there is just a "get".

Many items have free trials which automatically change to paid subscriptions.

This is the way things are in the 21s century.

Here's how to request an app or media refund from Apple (From: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support - see the article for more detail.) If you bought this in the EU from a third party, see: About purchases not billed through the App Store or the App Store’s In-App Purchase system - Apple Support instead.

1. Sign in to https://reportaproblem.apple.com

2. Tap or click "I'd like to," then choose "Request a refund."

3. Choose the reason why you want a refund, then choose Next.

4. Choose the app, subscription, or other item, then choose Submit.

If you were charged for a subscription that you no longer want, you can also cancel the subscription using the directions in this article --> If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

Read this support article for information about how long it takes to receive a refund (if you are granted one), and how to check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple --> Check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

I tried out the Ancestry app and decided against it for now. I deleted the app from my phone then deleted my acct. when I called earlier asking for a refund I was told that 3rd party purchases could not be refunded.

Since I cancelled my app before the deadline, I am eligible for a refund. I should not have been charged in the first place.
