Podcasts sleep timer doesn’t take into account playback speed

I almost always listen to podcasts at 1.5x speed and will often use a sleep timer set for the end of the episode.

Previously, if the episode was 9 mins long and I put the sleep timer on with my 1.5x playback speed, it would tell me there are 6 mins left until the end of my episode which is accurate.

Now, if I listen to an episode that is 9 mins long and listen at 1.5x speed, when I do a sleep timer it tells me there are 9 mins left.

This is infuriating because it doesn’t accurately reflect how much more time I will be listening. It should take into account the playback speed when displaying how many minutes are left! Anyone have a fix for this???

More oddly, the change was intended to make it to reflect... Apple has changed the way the Sleep Timer works – now it is separated from the playback. It acts as a simple timer, a silent timer, and [in the case of 1x playback speed] is linked to the playback only in the way that the timer pauses the playback when the timer ends. Like the feature we have for timers in the Clock app.

This Apple's decision is extremely odd, now it is de-facto even lying the time left in case of the playback speed being not 1x if used together with the option "When episode ends", as you described it. And it not taking into account the user pausing the playback is another reason to Apple reconsider the decision...
