PDF's Saved to Books app

The Apple Support app recommends saving PDF's to the Books app , why

is that ?

I fail to understand the connection between the documents and a Books app .

While saving it the choices are " save to files" or " delete " . Saving to Files app changes the name to Safari and dates and won't allow you to do anything else with it ? Sometimes it's dimmed ?

I'm not reading a book , just a simple document from the internet .

Because it's a PDF reader.

Tap on where it says "Safari" and type in whatever you'd like the name to be. I've never had this be dimmed. But, if it is, you should be able to go into files and change the name after you've saved it.

Again, Books is a PDF reader. You can use it for reading any PDF. But, you don't have to. Just save to Files. You can read it from there.
