Why is Face Time Screen Sharing not working on my iPhone 14?
On my iPhone 14, whenever someone tries to Screen Share with me over FaceTime, I hear the normal screen sharing tone, but don’t see their screen appear. When I enter the FaceTime call details, it shows a “Currently Viewing” section with an option to open the shared screen. When I open it, the UI of the Screen Sharing app appears, but everything else is blank. I can not see the shared screen.
This issue has been persistent even in subsequent updates, and I can not see a way around it. It worked before the update, but afterwards stopped. My parent did put restrictions on my device so that I can not share my screen before the update, but that did not prevent me from viewing others screens.
I have tried searching the Apple Support community for answers, but no one else seems to have this issue. Even my parent’s iPhone 15 Pro Max’s and my brother’s iPhone 12 Mini’s screen sharing work on iOS 18, so I don’t know what is wrong with mine.
My guess is that a switch in Settings was flipped (specifically in restrictions) because some settings were changed after other people’s updates. But that is only a guess.
Thank you for reading. Please let me know if there is a fix to this issue!
