Malware on iphone

I apologize, but I am back asking a question that I recently asked, but more has come to light.

I recently had my email hacked, and a Trojan was detected on my computer. That was quickly detected, quarantined and removed.

Everything on the Internet is very contradictory when it comes to iPhones… is there any possibility there could be malware on my iPhone as well? I understand probably not a virus. My phone is not jailbroken. But this has caused a lot of worry. Should I reset it to factory settings? Or is there an app that really does check for malware? At the time that my email was accessed the latest 18.1.1. Had not installed. I’ve spent hours changing passwords and taking all the precautions I can think of to protect myself and just reading to figure out what I should do. But again, sometimes reading the Internet causes more worry than not. I do apologize. I’m not as tech savvy as some. My iPhone does act a little glitchy, but also in reading the latest update sometimes does that…

Well, in reading about that product just recently it looks like that can’t scan for malware either. There is really a lot of false advertising for virus protection For iOS. And I do understand that it’s very unlikely, but not 100% a given that something could not have come through on my phone. Here are some of the odd things that I am experiencing on my phone and it could be the latest 18 update…

  1. My phone really struggles to get onto Websites after I put in my password or the passkey. (Everything is set up with 2FA)
  2. My phone acts a little glitchy Or “jumpy” When I go onto anything.
  3. I found some odd settings in my Microsoft account, Such as an app password That I never requested And Some accesses that were permitted On the same day that my email was hacked.

Again, these may just be coincidences. But was so much Of our life in our phone, It is scary to the normal user Who does not have a lot of IT experience (Or basically any ha ha)

If I could wrap my head around something that I opened that I shouldn’t have, I would 100% own up Because I’m more worried about implications Than pride.

So I do welcome any suggestions? If there is anything at all that I can do to scan my phone, Please let me know.

This should help:

Note that mercenary spyware exploits cost are in the range of a million dollars and operated by foreign adversaries attempting to get information on high value targets. If this sounds like you are in this group, then you are not going to be finding assistance on this Support Site. Even then Apple will notify users and provides additional recommendations to lockdown your device.

I am extremely cautious about opening any emails or clicking on any links. However, it’s hard to know 100%. It seems that email phishing is coming in often that appears to be from known businesses that I associate with. So I honestly cannot say at 100% but that did not or could not have happened. Is there anything that I can scan my phone with just to bring peace of mind? I can tell you I’m not a worrier and don’t tend to overthink. But this has shaken me quite badly. My email is an outlook. I had never been in before to see the attempted amount of times a day that there are unsuccessful attempts to log into my account. It’s just absolutely crazy.

I had read in the community about malwarebyte being the only recommended app to use to check?
