How can I use Projector as a monitor for my Mac mini M4

I want to utilize a projector as a monitor, the size of the small projectors make it easier to travel with.

Small Tavel Projector:

I have one of those little Brookstone brand projectors (the lamp only lasts so long), and this is the adapter that I use: USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple. It has a female USB-C port, so that you don't lost the charging feature of the port you plug it into on your Mac. The projector is plugged into the HDMI port, and all works like a charm. The protection does 6 feet diagonally from just 8 feet away.

As for mirroring it...

There are many ways to connect a M4 Mac mini to a monitor or projector:

  • HDMI to HDMI cable
  • USB-C to USB-C cable
  • USB-C to {DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI, single-link DVI, dual-link DVI, VGA} adapter or adapter cable
  • Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt cable (although I doubt if there are many consumer-priced projectors that have resolution high enough that they would use Thunderbolt)
