How can I prevent Siri from opening my garage remotely?

I use a Meross controller via HomeKit to open and shut my garage via Siri voice control. This is very handy whilst at home but a security risk whilst I’m away from home. Recently (whilst away from home) I asked Siri to open something unrelated and it opened the garage door. Thankfully it alerted me and I was able to shut it. Is there a way of stopping this working whilst away from home in Homekit?

Siri and the Meross garage door opener I installed the Meross garage door opener (onto a LiftMaster MyQ WiFi garage door opener) and got it linked into HomeKit and Siri said I had to install LiveKey, so I did. Siri will open and close the door, however, when I have CarPlay active on my motorcycle and try voice command, Siri says she wont do that while driving (which is the point!), but also on CarPlay, my garage door appears on the app screen when I’m close to the garage (~ .5 mile) it appears and I can then use the hand controls to activate it. Can anyone tell me 1.) Why does Siri say I need LiveKey and 2.) why won’t Siri open the door via voice command while in motion on my motorcycle?

Extremely annoying Siri won't let me use other home control apps, forces HomeKit I bought some new smart lamps from a local company called I2GO. They have their own app for house automation, which integrates to Siri for enabling voice commands. After adding a shortcut for turning lights on by saying something like “turn all lights on”, doing it make Siri complain that I don’t have anything configured on my HomeKit app. I DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS APP. I DO NOT WANT SIRI TO FORCE ME TO USE IT JUST BECAUSE I’M SAYING COMMANDS LIKE “turn all lights on” OR “open my door”. I JUST WANT TO USE THE SHORTCUT THAT DOES WHAT I COMMANDED ON A DIFFERENT APP. I even tried uninstallking HomeKit, but Siri keeps trying to open it and I simply can’t disable that. Nothing I’ve tried worked. Is it even possible? I don’t want to have to say random things (that won’t trigger HomeKit) for the automations to work.
