Books currently reading in the “Continue Field”

I like to read more than one book at a time. Every time there is an iOS update on my iPad or iPhone, the books that I am currently reading get deleted from the “Continue” on the Home page.

How can this be remedied?

Trying to close a book and get back to the library or store in updated Books app Since the latest updates, I absolutely hate the Books app (and it sounds like that’s a common theme). But the absolute worst thing is that I can’t figure out how to get it to close a book, so for example to close what you’re currently reading (whether book or sample) and get back to the library or store. Downloaded books getting offloaded from Books app on iPad mini. My books keep getting offloaded from the Books app. I’ve been reading on Books for nearly a decade now, but about a few months back, my books kept getting offloaded and I would have to download them back again. I understand this is due to iCloud, and has to do with device storage but I have well over 30GB or so to spare, and I’m getting tired of downloading my hundreds of books again and again when I wanna read them. Deleting epub book permanently from app / ipad I use ebooks reader to read epub book that I downloaded from various sites on to my ebook reader app on my ipad. The problem I have is that I can’t delete any books. I got to library-edit- select books- delete and confirm - like I’m supposed to. The book look like they’ve been deleted but when I open the app back up the deleted book reappear. Where are the books stored on the app or iPad so I can find a different way to delete the books I’ve read as there is now to many books it’s getting confusing. please help as tried researching but nothing.
