Why is iMovie freezing while exporting GoPro videos?

The Go Pro footage I assembled and made into a movie, by way of Go Pro Quiuck Edit, and then imovie itself seemed to turn out great. Then reality set in. Attempting to export/share more tyimes then I want to think about turned up a freezing bar 2/3 through every time. Our Apple experts could not help me as well. This was attempted with an iPhone 14 I purchased 4 days ago!

If abandoning I movie, is there a suggestion as to what vehicle. Might be a good partner for this go pro footage? Thanks for replying.

Hi,

Try opening iMovie while holding down the option and command keys, and deleting preferences in the box that appears. IMovie will open in a new blank library. Open your original library to get back to your projects. Now see if you can get a complete export.

Another thing you can try is to create a new project and transfer your media to it and see if you can export.

Or perhaps you have corruption at the 2/3 point, or insufficient space. Expand out your timeline and scroll around in the 2/3 area. Look for black frames, white flashes, artifacts, and any other signs of corruption. Cut out any that you find and try exporting again.

Check to see if you have sufficient space on.your destination drive.
