If I buy a new MAC Mini, which, unlike my older Mini, has no mike or line input, does the new Mini come with Garage Band, and if so what does it use for importing sound?

It does not come with GB, you need to get it from the app store. However, if you currently have GB, if you use Migration assistant, it should bring over any loops you already have.
It has a headphone jack which I believe has support for a mono microphone.
Other than that, you need to get a USB Audio microphone/interface.
Thanks for answering. I can currently get 2 tracks, no problem. Still hoping there's a way to make that work. But it seems like every time Apple makes an "improvement," I loose something.
