Podcasts getting stuck in a loop

I’ve noticed with iOS 18, episodes in Podcasts will often get stuck in a 10sec loop.

This seems to happen when I’ve paused an episode for a while and then start it again. It will start where I left but then jump back too where I started and play again. Rinse and repeat.

The only way I’ve found to resolve it is to manually scrub ahead 1 min and then skip back.

I’ve also noticed that the progress bar stops moving and again will only fix itself through manual intervention.

It’s like the app just forgets everything about what it was playing and can’t recover on its own.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
