How to adjust group in Control Center of my iPhone?

So I am setting up a new iPhone. I’m trying to adjust the control center. I really want to re-order the items in the first group, the connectivity controls. It is not letting me re-order them. I do not use AirDrop and the Bluetooth needs to be shown larger in the group. But even though it looks like I should be able to re-order these it won’t do anything other than give me the option to remove the group from control center. No matter how or where I tap it won’t do anything. Is it supposed to be this way or is something wrong?

I did not ask about adding a new group, I want to re-order a group. Deleting and re-adding the connectivity group does not change anything.

As per the support article it says “To further customize the new group of controls, do any of the following:

  • Rearrange controls: Drag a control to a new position.“

But it is not letting me. Dragging the controls within a group is simply not working.

You can add a new group of controls to Control Center.

  • Open Control Center.
  • Tap. ...
  • Tap the bottommost icon (the little circle) along the right edge of the screen.
  • Tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen to open the controls gallery.
  • Tap a control in the controls gallery to add it to the group.

Open Control Center and tap the + sign at the top left of the screen. Inside the group you want to reorder, place your finger on the control with a bit of pressure and keep your finger on the control, then slide your finger where you want to move the control. I just did that on my iPhone and it works well.

So, you can rearrange the items in the block that has Airplane mode, WiFi, BT, etc.? I couldn't get that to work.

No, you can't rearrange any of the controls in that block. You can move controls which are there by themselves. Maybe I misunderstood what they want to do?

If I understand correctly what you want to do, which is to rearrange the icons for WiFi, BT, etc in the large control (by default upper left), then no, you can't. All you can do is delete that control and replace it with the individual controls for those features.

You should be able to add a control, scroll down to connectivity and press on bluetooth. it’ll make the icon bigger and you can rearrange it to make it look the way it used to. then you can go ahead and delete the group itself.

Thank you. I'm aware of that. Perhaps you meant to reply to someone else in this thread that's been inactive for almost a month.

Same here! I love how in that first control block, selecting the Bluetooth icon will actually take you to your list of Bluetooth devices. But I don’t want to drill in to get to it. I’d like to switch AirPlay and Bluetooth as well. And just adding the Bluetooth app as a separate control will only turn it on or off, it won’t take you to the list of devices.
