iPad Pro 11 inch in Sidecar screen doesn't wake when Mac Mini M4 wakes from sleep

I have my iPad connected via usbc to my Mac mini m4 and then set up as an extended display in Sidecar.

It all works perfectly apart from when I wake everything up after it's all gone to sleep.

Shutting down process:

Put monitor into standby mode (Mac and iPad then sleep automatically after this).

Waking up process:

Press button on monitor to wake from standby.

Unlock Mac using Touch ID on magic keyboard.

Monitor wakes and Mac fires up correctly.

iPad remains asleep.

I have to tap to wake, unlock with Face ID and then go to Mac settings, Display, Extend iPad to get it to work again.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I'd expect the iPad to wake at the same time as the Mac and for it to attempt Face ID, unlock and then default to Sidecar mode with my previously opened window (from my Mac) visible.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mac mini, macOS 15.1
