IOS 18.1 , much worse on dictation than pre update

Being someone who uses dictation for messages, WhatsApp , notes and pretty well anything, inc this, rather than typing, the update yesterday has made what was a fairly poor system even worse! Now instead of coming up with random words or joining two words up if you don’t pronounce them properly, it just Leaves a big space. It takes longer to correct it now than it would be to write it.

Having started using the system with a 6S which was almost perfect in what it did I then went to a 11 which was slightly worse and now I’m on a 13 which is worse than that. The new Update Manages to make it even more annoying. And randomly adds capital letters to the start of words halfway through a sentence or doesn’t put a capital at the start of a sentence ! As you can see below.

Not many people use the dictation function I realise that, but am I alone in this issue ? It is more pronounced on my iPad than it is on my 13 but still the same issue where it just leaves words out.
