How To Change the Defualt Instrument to Nothing? Or at least an instrument of my choosing...

Previous answers to this question are no longer valid, since they tell you to bring up a window which no longer exists :( (There is no more dialogue box when you select New Instrument). I really want it to be a blank channel strip. Why is this so hard to find?

I found the answer:

To create a new software instrument track in Logic Pro with an empty Channel Strip, go to Track > New Tracks, select Software Instrument, then in the "Instrument" menu, choose "Empty Channel Strip" and click "Create" - this will generate a new track with no pre-loaded plugins or settings on the Channel Strip.

Key points:

  • Access the New Track dialog: Go to "Track" in the menu bar, then select "New Tracks".

  • Select "Software Instrument": In the New Tracks dialog, choose the "Software Instrument" option.

  • Choose "Empty Channel Strip": In the "Instrument" dropdown, select "Empty Channel Strip".
