Are there any plugins for Pages that can open and export to Open Document Format?

Additional discovery. I have a Pages document that contains this Jacobian equation created by the Pages 14.2 equation editor:

Now there is a problem. Exporting to Word corrupts the equation by wrapping it in the .docx. That equation will not survive opening the Word document in LibreOffice 24.8.3. You have one practical option without exporting to PDF, and converting that PDF to an image for insertion into Writer:

  1. Open the equation editor in Pages and copy/paste the LaTeX equation syntax to the clipboard.
    1. After opening the Word document in LibreOffice 24.8.3, remove the image box caused by the failed equation conversion, and then just paste the text LaTeX equation source from the clipboard.
    2. Select the preceding pasted code and then from the LibreOffice Writer Tools menu, choose TexMaths > Equations… and the equation is now rendered in the document as shown above in the image.
    3. Use Save As… ODF Text Document (.odt).

Although one can use the Finder Quick Look tool to view the resulting .odt, it will not show the equation. Neither will TextEdit when the .odt is opened in it. But the equation is there.

None whatsoever due to Apple's closed architecture in Pages.

What you can do…

  1. If the Pages document is strictly text with or without equations, you may be able to open it in a current (e.g.24.8.3) version of the free LibreOffice and then Save As… ODF Text Document (.odt).
  2. Export the Pages document to Word and then open the .docx in:
    1. LibreOffice per item 1 Save As…
    2. Microsoft Word and Save As… ODT
  3. Export the Pages content as PDF
    1. Open the PDF in Microsoft Word v16.31 or later to convert it to .docx
    2. Save As… item 2.2

On closer inspection, although Pages equations are converted when exporting to Word, neither Pages nor Word documents bearing equations will convert those equations other than a picture box when saving as a .odt document from LibreOffice Writer or Word. At least Microsoft Word (16.91) throws a dialog informing that not all features of the document containing an equation will save correctly in ODT format.
