Garbled audio when recording in Logic Pro 11.1 (after the latest update)

Like the title say, I get garbled audio (and waweforms showing only some transients) when recording guitar in Logic 11.1 with a Apollo Twin TB. I first thought that it was a UAD issue (since I had problems with the latest Software Installer) but I’m not so sure anymore.

I reinstalled Logic and tried recording on GarageBand 10.4.11 with exactly the same setup - me playing the same guitar, same cable, same settings thru the UAD Console and Apollo Twin TB - and the waveforms now looked ok and it sounded like what I just played…. wow.

Any thoughts, ‘cause this is a major prob for me and I’ve literally tried everything cables, and anything elses that I could think of. Thankful for any kind of thoughts and info!

Apparently you cannot write **** so let's say the netherworld then....

I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Max/Sonoma 14.7.1/Apollo Twin TB > Logic 11.1/GarageBand 10.4.11

Like I said everything looks, feels and sounds like it should recording to GarageBand and the same pilot, guitar settings on Apollo Twin TB so WTF is up with the latest 11.1 Logic update? Recorded waveforms sounds garbled

and waveforms only seem to register some attack - but not all of the time.

Solved and my bad

I haven't used Logic that much lately due to an illness but I missed the fairly recent setting for

Mac OS Mic Mode - and it must have changed when updating.

You probably have a custom set of preferences. Check them out then delete the preferences from the Logic Pro menu. Reboot the computer, start logic, reset your preferences and try again.
