Automatic log-out in Apple Support Community

Whenever I close my browser and go back to Apple Support Community, my account is logged off by itself. I always check the "remember me" box to make sure I'm always signed in, but there's no effect. It keeps logging out by itself. How do I fix this? I don't want any spam mails saying that there were multiple sign ins.

Based on observation, I recall the ability to remain logged after closing your browser went away about the time that logins were changed to our Apple IDs and password. It's been this way a very long time.

As for "why," we are other end users like you and can neither speak for Apple nor give you an official answer. You can ask the moderators; their contact information is shown several times in the forums' Term of Use document:

As that question involves moderation of the forums—see Section B.2.ii of that document—don't get your hopes up for an answer.

As long as you are active you won't have to log in again. It isn't unusual for many sign-in web sites to time out for inactivity these days. Probably security related.

I am not remembering that "Remember me" button actually working. Or if it does, all it does is enter your Apple ID. It doesn't keep you signed in; only being active does that. Active may simply be something such as browsing, you don't have to be posting all the time.
