ios18.1.1 Calendar Issues

Last night I downloaded and installed ios 18.1.1 on my iphone 14 and I'm having issues with the calendar. I am unable to edit any events that I have created in the calendar app. Prior to today this was not an issue and now it acts as if the event was sent to me rather than me creating it. How can I get back to the ability to edit/delete the events that I've created?
