External Soundbar Not Working

Hopefully someone can help. I have a Mac Mini M2, I'm trying to connect an LG Eclair soundbar. The LG has the following ports HDMI, optical, bluetooth and a USB 3 port. I've become Amazons best customer with the amount of adaptors and or cables I've recently purchase, all to no avail with the exception of bluetooth which sounds fine and proves that the Mac can connect to the LG. However, the bluetooth disconnects after 5 mins if not used. Anyone else experience similar and if so, how did you get around it.
