Not receiving messages notifications on iPhone 14 Pro after iOS 18.1.1 update

Since updating my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 18.1.1, I haven’t gotten any message notifications on my phone. Obviously this is an issue when I have to communicate with people through text on a daily basis. It worked fine before I updated. Anyone having this issue?

I have spent 3 1/2 hrs. on the phone with APPLE to figure out why I am NOT getting any "sound" when receiving text and message while my phone is not in use. I checked and the HIDE ALERTS is not my issue. Their only idea now after all that testing is to reset my phone to factory settings, which I don't care to do. Has anyone else had this issue and a fix?

I had the same issue. After the 18.1.1 update I was receiving text messages, but not getting notification, my issue was "hide alerts" was turned on for each person that I received a message from. I had to click on the message, then click on the persons name on the top of the screen, hide alerts needs to be slide to the left, if it's to the right, then you will get the message but not the alert. I had to do this for each individual person sending me a message. After I moved the "hide alerts" to the left, I've been getting a tone notification again. The group text messages were not affected by this update, the "hide alerts" stayed in the off position. I hope this helps with your issue. T.

I have the same problem of no audible or banners when iPhone screen is locked. I validated all settings noted here and in other threads. I noticed that my MacBook and iWatch had the notification working, so I turned off Bluetooth to force a disconnect from my iWatch, and then audibles started working on iPhone. It stopped again when I enabled Bluetooth again and the iWatch reconnected. Comments????
