Timer sound continues playing a sound (Radial) as though a timer has gone off, except no human has started a timer

Every so often, the timer goes off with the Radial sound even though no human has started a timer. There is no evidence in the Clock app that a timer has been started or is going off. The only way to stop this incredibly annoying bug is to stop the Notification Center process in Activity Monitor. This stops the sound temporarily but then the sound comes back some time later. Let me re-emphasize how incredibly annoying this is. I'm running the latest MBP M4 Pro with Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B2091). Help!
