Missing my photo albums after 18.1.1 update

What an awful update. WTF are my albums? My brain doesn't work well with Apple software updates, and all I can find when searching is how great the app is now - oh wait, but now you have to search for your albums - such bs.

It’s like they created more steps for everything on this update! Not user friendly which has been the major benefit of apple previously. NO LONGER

This has not happened to me. Are the pictures no longer in albums, or are the pictures missing as well as the albums?

Do you have iCloud turned on in Photos? Do you have Optimize Storage turned on for Photos? Did this happen between 18.1 and 18.1.1?

Perhaps that will give you a hint that this community is more properly about solving problems than complaining about them. As you point out, there are plenty of places available for complaining; precious few dedicated to working better with what we've got.

Since the recent update, I am missing albums, phone lags, passwords are missing even though I found where it was moved to. Is there going to be a fix for these issues. Seriously thinking of switching to Android

I have the same question. Particularly my hidden photos folder and the photos that were there

Had lost my Map Album, just found it when i went to Customize & Reorder

selected "Pinned Collections" and now my sort by Map option is back

and i have now have access to Photos by map location
