I upgraded to Sequoia. When I start my computer, the desktop is completely empty. When I look in Finder>(my computer's name)>Desktop, it says Desktop-Local on the Finder window and it is empty. Where are all the things that were on my Desktop before upgrading to Sequoia? How to I get them to be on my desktop screen all the time?

Check your iCloud Drive > Desktop & Documents settings -- Desktop settings related to Parallels.app might also be the culprit. YMMV.
Where do I find iCloud Drive > Desktop & Documents settings? Once there, what should the settings be?
Also, I don't have anything called Parallels.app
all my desktop items are gone
