Keyboard issues on Mac: Stuck words, blue borders, and reversed names

When I type, all the words are stuck together- I have to really hit the keys to make a space between ... I didn't spill anything on the keyboard, but I have cleaned it..... this is really annoying, as it takes me ages to type stuff..... I also sometimes get a blue border appear round the edges of the email or WhatsApp message as I am typing .... and when I use WhatsApp on my Mac, and type my contacts' names,they come out back to front!! HELP!!!!
