Removing Apple Pay and resolving non-payment issue on iPhone

How may I remove Apple Pay from my phone. I do not need this service. I can’t download apps or update because there’s a non payment on a cleaning app from Apple that I never wanted in the first place. I’ve never used the app. Don’t even hv a widget for it. In my recollection, this cleaning app is suppose to be free. But I’m being penalized for something I never even subscribed to. Remove Apple Pay or this cleaning app so that I can use my 1000$ equipment I purchased.

The cleaning app may have been free to download, and may have even had a free trial, but with all trials, they will become a subscription if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. This should not come as a surprise to you as you would have had to double click the side button with the free trial showing on the screen and also the start of the subscription including the price if you do not cancel. Make sure that the subscription has now been cancelled here:

You will need a payment method to download/update apps. If they are free you will not be charged. You don't need Apple Pay as that is not a payment method for the App Store anyway. If you currently owe money, then of course that will need to be resolved before you can continue to use the App Store. See step 2 and 3 in this Support Article:
