Lost Playlist in Apple Music App

On a recent 14 hr flight back to London, I decided to invest several hours in creating a major Playlist containing all my favourite songs from my music collection. I considered every song on every album and ended-up with a Playlist of about 1,700 songs. However, when I got home and went to use it, I found it wasn't there!

I created the Playlist in the Music App on my iPad which is currently running iOS 17.6.1 with Airplane Mode switched on. This Music App is set to synch with iTunes. All seemed to be OK when I'd finished and the last thing I did was to edit and change to Playlist title to something more recognisable - to "All the Best" actually. such a Playlist is no-longer listed.

Why would this have disappeared and, more importantly, is there any chance it is still recoverable?
