Ipad Air2 activation failure after update

Ipad air 2 wifi+cellular, worked on the old ios 12, recently began to issue a message that "cellular data will not be available without updating". In this regard, I decided to update it.

The wifi didn't work - I tried it several times, I get an error with a suggestion to update later. Auto-update didn't help either. I decided to try through itunes, an error occurred during the update process and the iPad went into service mode. There is no backup.

After several attempts to restore and update, the update was installed, but now only the start screen works. When trying to activate, an error "activation failure" is generated. And nothing can be done, the iPad is not activated either by transferring from an iPhone with the same icloud, or via wifi manually. Hard reset and update don't help. What to do?

If you are experiencing difficulties with (re)activation of your iPad, you may have more success if you connect your iPad to a Windows PC (with iTunes for Windows installed - or more recent Apple Devices App) or a Mac computer (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS). Once connected to your computer, your iPad will be detected - and you should be able to activate using iTunes.

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of macOS or the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Check that your computer has an Internet connection.
  3. With the cable that came with your iPad, connect your iPad to your computer. Locate your device on your computer.
  4. Wait while your computer detects and activates your iPad:
  • If you see an alert that shows "Set up as New" or "Restore from Backup", it means your iPad is activated.
  • If you get an error message that says the "activation information was invalid" or "activation information could not be obtained from the device", use recovery mode to restore your iPhone.
