Weather widget not updating location on MacPro after Sequoia update

I have given the weather widget permission to check my location and notifications are fully on. On my phone and ipad, it shows "current location" but not on my MacPro. Weather widget remains saying "locating" for "my location"--not reading from "My card". I've done all possible venues, in vain. Apple community replied to my previous inquiry which was not related to the iPad issue. I had followed the instructions posted by one member here--it's a manual procedure. To my understanding it lost the purpose of "automatic check" from "my card". The widget was working well before this hiccup surfaced after the new update of Sequoia. Any more clearer ideas? Thanks.
