You can check the battery percentage of your Apple Watch on your iPhone.

the consensus was there's no way to check your iPhone battery percentage from your Apple Watch.

I found an app called Battery Life which does this, so there might be other apps.

I made my Battery Life app into a complication on a watch face so I just press that and it tells me the battery percentage of my iPhone.

The app is free, and if you get the paid version you can also see the battery percentage of your Apple Watch, which you can already see by clicking Battery in Settings.
