Purchased a new iPhone 16 Pro a few nights ago at a Verizon store. Opened sealed box and set up phone and noticed in settings the device name: “Antiqueiphone4antiqueguy”. I never would name my device this or anything like it. I have never seen anything like this happen before. Any clue how this could happen?

Where in settings do you see this device name?
When you set up the phone, was it showing the Hello screen?
Did you set it up as new or restore from a backup?
Possibly, someone returned the phone to Verizon and they re-sealed the box and sold it to you.
I'd return the phone to Verizon and get a new replacement. There shouldn't have been any name there.
The phone was not "new". It was repackaged at the Verizon store. Return the phone for a refund.
