airpods pro 2 suddenly sounds muffled on mac m2 but sounds normal on iphone and other devices

i was listening to music on my mac m2 and then suddenly it sounded muffled like the eq of the bass changed, it wasnt spotify because the eq profile was flat.

i removed the airpods from my apple id and connected it again. The problem still occurs.

I use my airpods to make music and its really messing with me.

i alr checked the audio midi setup, and the input/output in sound settings, nothing works

when i connect to my iphone, everything sounds good so its something to do with the mac.

i closed all apps that may interfere with the sound on my mac, but the problem is still there, no app is open and its still happening
