"No Response" with Apple Watch in the HomeKit app

I have recently installed an August Smart Lock. Had success with the device installation and connecting it to my Apple HomeKit. Using an Apple TV V4 as my HomeKit hub. I am able to control the lock with my iPhone, either using the Apple Homekit app or with Siri from my iPhone. The problem is my Apple Watch (V10) will not recognize the device, when looking at it on the Apple Watch, it has a status of "No Response". I have already deleted the device and reinstalled several times, with the same result. I verified that the Apple Watch has Blue Tooth enabled and it is running the latest WatchOS. What am I missing?
