In the UK when you get a scam text you can report it to 7726. Afterwards they text you back and ask you to supply the number of the scammer but i can’t find the number of the scammer, Can anyone help please?

If it's coming from a phone number, it should be at the top of the conversation screen. If it's coming from some sort of short code, there won't be a number. If, for some reason, it's showing a name, tap on the number the top of the screen then , on the next screen, tap on "Info".
