Accessing “Remote” via Shortcuts on iPad

I am trying to create a way to access the Apple TV remote app on my iPad Home Screen. The app isn’t available to just open without going through control center. And there isn’t a remote widget. The work around I have tried to create is via Shortcuts. I have successfully created play/pause, power on and off, and open app on Apple TV shortcuts. And I can activate them on my Home Screen with the shortcuts widget. When I use the pre-made remote app shortcut action “Show Remote Control for…” it does not work. I was hopeful this would show the same UI when the control center remote is clicked. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
