Why has my Apple Car Play suddenly stopped showing traffic conditions?

My Apple Car Play maps has always worked without a problem. It shows me through green, amber, red, along my routes what the traffic conditions are like etc and if roads are closed etc.

It has suddenly stopped doing this.

I have turned off device and car and restarted both.

I have asked Apple Car Play to forget my car and then paired them again.

I have gone to Siri and Search and ensured notifications are on / allowed.

I have ensured maps APP is up-to-date.

None of this has worked.
