In Maps on Mac, how do I remove or edit a "My Places" pin?

Using Apple Maps app in Sonoma 14.7.1.

I have four places saved in My Guides > My Places. How can I remove/delete one?

Per the Mac user guide I did control-click on the pin on the map, which offers nothing relevant (Directions, Share, Send to device), and control-click on the pin in the sidebar. That brings up a menu with Remove from Guide, but when I select this, the sidebar looks like it is starting to change but then stops and reverts -- basically, nothing happens.
