Apple music shuffling playlist only shuffles 20

My playlists are mostly 200-400 songs. Lately when I shuffle it only shuffles 20 or so songs. I have an iMac running Sonoma 14.6.1 Apple Music 1.4.6.32. The music is a mix of my music, uploaded to the Apple Music cloud, and music from Apple Music to which I subscribe. I don't think this used to happen but I just noticed it.
