The current Siri Remote is also bluetooth and, in fact, that is how it primarily connects to an Apple TV, not via IR. Put the remote in bluetooth pairing mode by press-and-holding < and + together for 5 seconds. (If your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote isn't working - Apple Support)
Then on your Mac it will be available to connect to like any other bluetooth device. It's not super useful outside of basic media controls, but with an app like Remote Buddy or SiriMote, you can do a lot more with it.
Good luck!

And? Some times ago, remote was operational with a MAC!
So with next remote I guess...
That was many years ago when Mac had infrared sensors which they have not had for many years now. I wouldn't count on them coming back, no more than DVD drives in computers which have been gone from Macs for over a decade.
There is the Satechi R2 Bluetooth Multimedia Remote Control . The manufacturer's description:
"The R2 Bluetooth Multimedia Remote Control is your ultimate media companion device, perfect for controlling your work from home playlists, to navigating on-screen applications or guiding presentations. With easy-to-use Bluetooth, control arrows, Siri voice, and more, the R2 Remote Control enables convenient media access and on-screen control at your fingertips."
I don't know if the thing has a microphone or if the Siri reference just means that there is a button you can press to get Siri to start listening with your Mac's microphone.
Hi,
Thanks, strange because it's what I did. I tried again and YES, it's work...
But, it's not super useful like you said because I can control only the volume. If I press play, iTunes open.
I tried Apple TV, but nothing happens. I saw in settings to delete all remote, but I don't know how to pair it?
My main usage it's for PLEX/something like this (I do not know which one yet).
Thanks again.
No, the MM is NOT an Apple TV it is a computer.
That was quite long ago. Macs haven't supported the use of physical remotes in several generations. Whether they ever will again, none of us here can say, though I doubt it.
Regards.
