Figma app closes automatically when minimized on macOS Sequoia

Hi everyone,

Since updating to macOS Sequoia, I’ve been experiencing a strange issue with the Figma app.

If I open the app and start working on it, everything functions normally. However, if I minimize the app, it gets closed automatically after an undefined amount of time (about 5 minutes). I then have to reopen it to continue working.

I’ve tried monitoring the RAM usage by setting up alerts with CleanMyMac, but I’ve never received any warnings about full RAM.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

We can not be 100% certain there is or is not an issue with the Figma application in and of itself

Though, if we combine the usage CMM application into the overall.

The current issue may have been caused by CMM ( CleanMyMac )

An aside

Part1 of 2

Start Over from Scratch

Once this type of software is installed and embedded into the computer >> CleanMyMac aka BrickMyMac <<

You can spend hours or days hunting down all the bits and pieces of this software and never really get it all off the computer

For Apple Silicon computer >> Use Disk Utility to erase a Mac with Apple silicon.

For Apple Intel computers >>   Use Disk Utility to erase an Intel-based Mac followed by How to reinstall macOS

Always make a Time Machine Backup  before  proceeding

If going this route - I suggest Not using Startup Assist to migrate everything back.

This will probably Re-Introduce ( CleanMyMac ) back into the Operating System

Part 2 of 2

Specific to CleanMyMac aka “ BrickMyMac

To put the CleanMyMac in context and the damages it may have or has already done.

This application can or will Muck Up your User Account ( Home Folder ) of this machine.

It does not touch the Operating System itself unless you consider your User.

Account ( Home Folder ) as part of the Operating System

Then in that specific context - it has Mucked Up the Operating  System

The Operating System is hosed
