Running two M4 Mac Minis connected via Thunderbolt with the same icloud account

Would it be like running one computer? With all of the syncs and apps on both and a KVM, or is there a way to run them in parallel via Thunderbolt 5? I use FCP Editing 8K Raw Video, Lightroom/Photoshop.

You can't add external RAM to any computer. RAM is always internal due to the requirement for a high-speed, direct connection between RAM and the processor.

With Apple Silicon processors, the RAM dies are located right next to the main processor chip, and there are no RAM slots where you can install more internal RAM after purchase.

Then come out with an external ram for the M4.

That's not going to happen.

I wanted something small compact and nothing crazy or crazy expensive. This is perfect.

I have a PC, and it hinders my work progress. It constantly incurs small, unexpected costs.

I also own an M2 Pro Mac mini. I accomplish more on my Mac mini, and I love Final Cut Pro and the storage it offers. I've always wanted to setup two or more macs in parallel or a form of it to share the processing of large exports. 14core m4 pro and a base m4 may be the way I should go.

If the M2 Pro is able to accomplish the current tasks, then the M4 Pro will run cycle around that.

The best way to handle those Final Cut Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop projects, is to get and use an external SSD.
