Text alerts not showing in Apple CarPlay

I use Apple CarPlay endlessly for Texting and making calls for work, my Text banner is not showing all of a sudden, I can hear the sound but have no idea who it is, Unless I take my hands off the wheel and touch my phone. Very frustrated about this. I have tried so many things already and still nothing, anyone have something that worked?! TIA
