iPhone 16 pro, iMessage group responses do not contain original text

When I send a group iMessage to iMessage users all with iPhones, when they respond, it does not include the original message. In addition, the responses come in one-by-one.

I have gone online and tried to go to messages and follow the directions given online. My menu options do not line up with the directions I have been given. HELP??!
