MacBook Air sound not working, terminating coreaudio only works temporarily

My MacBook Air sound will work and then stop. For example, if I watch a Youtube video and then click on the next one, the sound will cut off. I then have to go to Activity Monitor and force quit core audio and refresh the page and it will sometimes work. Other times I have to repeat the process until it works. Is there a permanent fix out there for this or do I need to bring it somewhere to get fixed?
