Someone recieved a imsg i did not send.

A random day someone replies to a text I did not send. They claimed I sent it two minutes before they replied. This is a number I do not have in my contacts nor talked to for a year.

Is it possible they got sent a old text again? They got a new iphone last week. This is very shocking for me because I have not sent this person any texts for so long.
