Why Group message can’t be sent later

I absolutely love the new send later option in text messages. However, when you are sending a group message that option does not seem to appear. Am I missing something? Or does Apple need to add this feature to group messages? It was a wonderful option when I was a blackberry user and I was very excited to see that Apple finally adopted the option. However, it seems the migration has not quite yet been completed
