Also if not would it hurt anything to set the M4 Mini on top of an older Apple CD Superdrive in order to raise it up a little. Any harm in doing this if the drive is plugged in and being used to burn a cd or watch a movie?
If shouldn't be while being used is there any reason it can't be set there if Superdrive is not plugged in?

It wasn't mentioned but if this is a concern about the power button location, then I solved that by standing the M4 Mini Pro on its side with the bottom facing left. It is simple for me to reach around my 32-inch display and press the now-exposed power button. No stand is necessary in my usage.

There are some M4 Mac mini stands and mounts out on the market.

The weight could flex the Super Drive case enough to cause a problem.
Personally I would probably set the M4 Mac mini on it's side until I found a suitable stand.
It was ridiculous for Apple to put the switch on the bottom but it is even more ridiculous to make an issue out of it.
How often do you need to press the button and when you do, how difficult is it to tilt the mini slightly for access?

Less airflow restriction with unit on its side, so I have not encountered any issues with it. The power button is within arm's length.
I made a 3/4" riser. A 4" diameter pad made out of stock works fine. I put a silicone pad on both sides to prevent slipping. Makes easy access to the power button if required. I'm sure some company will make a fancier version soon.
The Mini M4 is very light so I would not believe the weight would be an issue if set on some other service
You may find some and while you are, you may also find one with a fan, if you ever find it’s heating. Although i tend to believe the good side of silicon ones as opposed to okd intel-based is the M ones do not heat as much as intel-based.

Tilting is OK as long as none of the cable connections become dislodged, then it becomes an issue for some I suppose.
Are there any stands out yet that can raise up the M4 Mini?
