How can I record sound from a device's headphone output on a MacBook Pro? Can I plug the device's headphone output (3.5mm jack) into the MacBook's headphone output? Thanks for your help.

It would seem so from the descriptions, but I have no experience with that device and have never heard of that manufacturer, so I can't be sure. If you want to try it, make sure you purchase from a vendor who will allow you to return the unit if it doesn't work as needed.

No, as it says, it's an output, not an input. You'll need a third-party audio input device. There are tons on the market in all price ranges depending on the features and quality you want.
